Air Fresheners

Air Freshener
A set-it-and-forget-it jar freshener that works passively in any room — no aerosol, no synthetic fragrance, just baking soda and a few drops of essential oil.
What you'll need
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 8–10 drops essential oil (lavender, citrus, or eucalyptus work well)
- A small open jar or dish
- A piece of breathable fabric and a rubber band (optional, for a jar-lid version)
Steps
- Pour the baking soda into the jar or dish.
- Add the essential oil drops directly onto the baking soda and stir gently with a spoon.
- If using a lid, poke a few holes in it or cover the jar opening with fabric secured by a rubber band instead.
- Set the jar in the room that needs freshening — a bathroom, closet, or car cupholder all work well.
Tip: Give the baking soda a stir every few days and re-freshen with a couple more drops of oil once the scent fades — the same batch lasts several weeks before it needs replacing entirely.
