Cast Iron Burner Cleaner
A baking soda soak lifts baked-on grease from cast iron burner grates without harsh degreasers.
What you'll need
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- Hot water, enough to submerge
- A stiff-bristle brush
Steps
- Submerge the grates in hot water mixed with baking soda.
- Let soak for 15–20 minutes to loosen grease.
- Scrub with the brush and rinse thoroughly.
- Dry completely to prevent rust.
Tip: Dry grates on the stove over low heat for a minute to drive off any remaining moisture.
