Health — supportive only
Nature's Penicillin
Raw garlic steeped in honey is a traditional folk tonic for the first signs of a cold — a supportive measure, not an antibiotic substitute.
What you'll need
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 cup honey
Steps
- Crush garlic and let sit 10 minutes to activate its compounds.
- Stir into honey and let steep for at least an hour.
- Take 1 tsp as needed.
Important: This is not a substitute for antibiotics when one is genuinely needed — never give honey to children under 12 months.
