An overnight baking soda paste breaks down baked-on grease and grime, so the toughest oven buildup wipes away without fumes or scrubbing.
What you'll need
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- A few tablespoons of water
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
Steps
- Mix baking soda with water into a spreadable paste.
- Coat the interior surfaces, avoiding heating elements, and let sit overnight.
- Wipe out the paste with a damp cloth, then spritz remaining residue with vinegar to help lift it.
- Wipe clean a final time.
Tip: Skip the paste on any exposed heating elements — stick to the oven's interior walls, floor, and door glass.
