A fluoride-free baking soda toothpaste in a pinch — the mild abrasives that clean teeth also buff tarnish off small silver items like rings.
What you'll need
- A dab of plain (non-gel, non-whitening) baking soda toothpaste
- A soft toothbrush
Steps
- Dab toothpaste directly onto the silver.
- Scrub gently with the toothbrush, working into crevices and detailing.
- Rinse thoroughly and buff dry.
Tip: Skip whitening or gel toothpaste — the added chemicals and micro-beads can scratch soft silver.
