Silverware Cleaner

A foil-and-baking-soda bath sized for a full set of flatware — clean an entire holiday silverware set at once instead of piece by piece.

What you'll need

• A large pot or basin lined with foil
• 2 quarts hot water
• 1/4 cup baking soda

Steps

1. Line the basin with foil, shiny side up.
2. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and pour in.
3. Lay the flatware in the basin, making sure each piece touches the foil.
4. Let sit 5–10 minutes, then rinse and dry each piece.
