Soft Soap

A gentle liquid hand soap made from grated bar soap — refill dispensers by the bathroom sink at a fraction of store-bought cost.

What you'll need

• 1 bar grated organic soap
• 4 cups water
• 1 tbsp glycerin (optional, for moisture)

Steps

1. Simmer the grated soap in the water over low heat, stirring until fully dissolved.
2. Stir in the glycerin if using.
3. Let cool completely — it will thicken as it cools.
4. Pour into pump dispensers, thinning with a little more water if too thick.
